Filters, What do I do?

I am interested in getting some filters for my DVX. Can anybody tell me if I white balance before or after putting on the filter? I want some warming filters and some softening filters as well. Please help. ???

You W/B before (without) the filter, otherwise you will, eletronically compensate for your filter, and balance it out.

Thats what I thought. Woulden't it be easy to damage the threads on the DVX though from removing the filter so much?

I guess I could justget a UV filter or something to go on first and then attach other filter afterward.
What about filter placement?

Is there a certain order ar does it even matter?

If you're using screw-in filters, there's no need to use a UV in addition to other filters. Use as few filters as possible and any type of net filter like a ProMist should be closest to the lens.
