Filters and plug-ins, light flare, can't remember the name!

[abalex]

I'm looking for a library of SFX filters, the ones that have the light flare hitting the lens of the camera, macgregor uses it a lot in his shows, I just don't know where to get good ones.

Punch drunk love has a lot of those anamorphic light flares.

Sorry for not being more specific but that's the reason why I'm asking...

where can I get them?

thanks in advance.

Probably Magic Bullet Looks.

[abalex]

is not magic bullets, I own that one, I'm talking about flares and light reflections hitting the lens, also the "film burn" effect.

thanks

Knoll makes a couple of flare plugins. Most popular is Knoll Light Factory.

I believe you're looking for Artbeats Film Clutter 1 & 2. I wish I could get my hands on those.

Magic Bullet LOOKS has anamorphic flares.

Nattress film effects has a flare.

The best fake burns are real film burns composted onto your footage.

thanks everyone, got what I was looking for!

If you want to get the flare in camera but cannot shoot with anamorphic lenses, rent a "Vantage Blue Vision" series filter. It makes spherical lenses have flares that resemble anamorphic. It will look more natural versus fake post work.

Out of interest what was your solution to this, i recently saw punch drunk love for the first time and loved the flares hitting the lens. I found a set of filters by vantage blue but they seem to be only available for rental.
