Filter on a Century .7x wa converter

This lens seems very good to me, which is the best protection you can suggest me?
I understand that a 95mm (3.8") diameter filter is the solution. But what about vignetting?

Re: Filter on a Century .7x wa converter

The threads on the front of the Century .6x are non-standard and cannot accept filters. I'd expect the same to be true of the .7x, but I don't know that for sure...

Re: Filter on a Century .7x wa converter

what are the threads for, then?
and what can I do to protect the lens?

Re: Filter on a Century .7x wa converter

you can buy a $3000 6x6 mattebox and put a $200 6x6 UV filter in it :)

Seriously, we are all waiting to find a mattebox that will not vignette with the .7 on it, it obviosly needs to be on rods, unless you use the Matteblox.

Excellent! Thanks for the link, Oleg!

Hey Jarred, do you have any sort of special deal worked out with cavision? Can you find out what kind of deal we could get on one of those shades with the 95mm adapter ring?

Re: Filter on a Century .7x wa converter

Yeah, any specials? Do you buy this directly from cavision or are dealers like EVS and B&H selling those? Anyone know how much they are?

Thanks.
