Can you all please name any movie with only 2 chars. for most or all of the movie? Also movies primarily with 1 location or both?

I am writing a script with only 2 characters in one indoor location (4 to 5 different areas inside that location). I know this is too few characters in not enough locations as far as producers are concerned etc. BUT...

Before I explore 'opening up' the story with more chars. and locations, I want to be true to my original vision and get it written.

I want to screen as many film with these limitations.

I have thought of:

'HARD CANDY' a low budget film with mostly 2 chars. for 99% of the story and mostly in 1 location (the guys house)
'LIFEBOAT' by Hitchcock all characters in 1 lifeboat.
CASTAWAY mostly 1 char. and 1 location ( the beach)
AFTER SUNSET and BEFORE SUNRISE 2 chars. mostly walking on the Paris streets

I heard 'CUBE' is just 1 location but haven't seen it yet and also a low budget film with Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke and one other actor in a only one hotel room but I don"t know the title.

Thanks a ton for any ideas and help!

JJ

CUBE is one location but there are several characters included. So is Cube 2 and 3.

Nothing (2003) comes to mind, two characters and one location.

Down by Law is more or less one location-always three same characters, also a great film.

Stranger than paradise is low-budget, three character movie that has unique cinematography style that most people dislike.

I'll remember some more I guess..

Clerks. Mostly two dudes talkin bout nothin.
Primer. Mostly two dudes talkin bout...stuff I don't understand.
The Blair Witch Project.
The Blue Lagoon. Guy and Girl on island. Incest.
Swept Away (ITA, 1974). Guy and Girl on island. Sodomy.
3 Iron (KOR).
Coffee and Cigarettes.
The Big Chill. Mostly one location (in a house).

I think NOTHING might fit your profile. Most of the movie is two characters and most of the movie takes place in essentially one location if I recall. Also directed by the director of CUBE.

On another thought should not these two cross-posted threads be merged???

Hell In The Pacific
just Lee Marvin and Toshiro Mifune on an island. Shot by Conrad Hall. Directed by John Boorman.

- Sleuth
The Original from 1972 and the Remake from 2007.
2 Actors and one House.
I think you can't get any less than in this movie.

Before Sunset with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Some other characters, but the majority of it is just those two walking around Paris.

Also, that Tom Hanks movie on the island; again, other characters but mostly him and a volleyball.

Waiting for Godot (film is ok but read the play too)

Rope (1 location, 2 main characters + Jimmy Stewart and some old biddies arrive a bit later)

Rear Window

Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (not exactly 1 location, and not always only 2 characters, but mostly)
