I'm shooting a Romantic Comedy next year and I want to wacth all movies shot up to now with the 100A specially if you think the color was good with red and green. I hear the red tends to bleed a little.
This is my list but I have not seen them yet has anyone seen these?

The Specials 2004                   dvx 100A w/ 35mm prime lens
Late Night  2004                     dvx 100
Language Lessons  2004          dvx100
Apology  2004                        dvx 100 w/ 35mm prime lens
November 2004                      dvx 100
Land of the Plenty                  dvx 100A
If you know of any Romantic Comedy's please let me know.
Also how do I make the colors more rich, do I do it in post?
How do I make the faces soft? Is that a bad idea for transfering to 35mm later.
Wow I could go on and on but this would be of so much help!
Thanks   ;D
Gladys

Re: FILMS SHOT W/ DVX 100A

thanks John you always have a good answer. have you seen any of these and which ones went for the rich color look?

I did call a couple of labs but they are not that exp w/ the 100A and I think the 100 has more limitations with color than the 100A

my budget is 75K I need help trying to get the best results with color any tips?

Re: FILMS SHOT W/ DVX 100A

can someone tell me which ones were shot with the 100A. I'm not working with the 100

Only a few listed have been shot with the A. Of course there are more than tons not listed or currently being shot. [/quote]

John, only a few on lhe list show up as being shot with the "A", but I'll betcha most everything shot in '04 and a bunch shot in '03 were shot on the "A" and that what is on the list is in the realm of GIGO. Who knows how that info gets into the IMDb and how careful the people who enter it are. Especially since the difference between DVX100 and DVX100A must seem pretty arcane who knows from nothing. Just a thought.
