Filming fireworks reflecting off a building

I want to capture some fireworks reflecting off the side of a building. This will obviously be shot at night using an HVX. I haven't done this before nor will I have any real opportunity to practice this kind of shot. Can anybody out there fill me in on some tips in order to pull this off seamlessly?

Thanks!

I take it you have a location/ building in mind specifically? It will obviously have to have a shiny surface/ or lots of windows to successfully reflect fireworks, otherwise it will just have faint colored light reacting on the building surface. I'm sure I didn't have to go over that but I'll try to be thorough.

A friend of mine just showed me footage of a time lapse he shot. It was the clouds rolling by, filmed from the reflection of a large office building/ apartment building.

If you know where the fireworks are going to launch, I would find your building on a cumulus cloudy and sunny day. Line up your camera with the building so that you see the clouds which will be relatively where the fire works will be in the sky.

Now you know where the best bet is to capture the fireworks ahead of time.

If you have the budget I would pay them to wash the building ;)
