Hi everyone. We started a youtube tutorial series awhile back targeted to directors, DPs and aspiring stunt fighters on producing safe action and fights for the screen on an indie budget. We've gotten great feedback and we've also been invited to hold a workshop this weekend at the Urban Action Showcase in NY Midtown Hilton on Nov 9th. We'll be pulling together the particular aspects of filming a fight scene that diverge a lot from straight narrative scenes. It'll be geared towards directors, DPs, stunt fighters, choreographers and editors and what they should focus on before and on the set to pull together some great fight scenes.
The workshop ("Filming Fight Scenes") is $20 and gives you access to the rest of the two day film festival: http://www.urbanactionshowcase.com/p/ticketspasses.html
Here's a writeup on the workshop: http://filmcombatsyndicate.blogspot.com/2013/10/come-get-your-kicks-at-urban-action.html
Look forward to seeing folks there!
