Just a heads up for anyone in the market for fresnel fixtures. Birns & Sawyer finally has Filmgear up on their website. These fixtures are absolute top quality in fit, finish and function. The light pattern is consistent and beautiful-- no dark spots or funny patterns. Adjustment smooth as oiled glass. Definitely higher quality than Arri and the price is very competitive. A 650w Filmgear with barns will run you $357 vs. $450 for an Arri with barns. No, I don't have any business motivation here, just happy to see they have a new reseller. I own a bunch of these lights and they are absolutely fantastic. Ask anyone else who owns them.
