Film Student Needs Equipment

Looking for the following equipment for my short student film. I don't have much of a budget but if your willing maybe we can trade services. I wouldn't need many of the items for more than a couple of days in september.

Hood mount
Long lens for 24P Panansonic
Wheelchair

I'm also looking for a location that I can use as a car pound.

check thrift stores for some wheel chairs. Does hood mount equal LCD hood? If so just make one out of some cardboard. If you are making a student film no one expects you to be professional. For the long lens shot get closer to your subject. :)

I think he means a car hood mount. If so, just make one. It's not that difficult and it would keep you from having to borrow someone else's stuff. Google will give you plans for construction.

If you can't find a cheap wheelchair, try and buld a steadicam or dolly.

If you make the stuff, you'll own it for every future production. And it's cheap and easy.
 
Hey guys, go easy on the newbie. That's mother thereasa you're talking too.

Wait a second, did you say September? And what kind of "services" are you offering? Will you cater my wedding? Will you do my laundry for one year? I don't give my "long lens" to just any one. :)

I am commisionar of film in Nigeria, thanks to a recent snafu Panasonic has sent me 2000 HVX cameras, but I am un able to get them out of the country due to local export laws. In this accordance I was given your name as trustworthy. I need your help to get these cameras out of the country then when they are in your possession we can split the cameras.

First I will have to establish you as an official exporter of Panasonic cameras, so please to send me your DVX-100 or DVX-100a and any production equipment you can send. The more equipment you send the easier it will be to establish you as a legitimate exporter to the official channels in my country.

After I receive your camera I can then send you the entire shipment, do not hesitate to trust me on this, remember time is of the essence, soon the cameras will be confiscated by local warlords with a penchant for comedic narrative.

Where are you a film student and why arent the necessary tools/equipment available right there at the school for you to use? You pay all that money to go to film school and you don't have what you need?
