Film stocks characteristics in detail?

Hi everyone!
So at the moment we have an advent of film replicating LUT's from various sources.
What I am looking for instead of ready made "slap on LUTs" are detailed characteristics of each film stock (be it Kodak, Fuji or other). Something like a dissection that will allow to get same result but by using basic color correction suite adjustment.
Is there something like that somewhere?
Many thanks in advance!

I agree - a thorough yet concise description of the major characteristics of the top 10 or 15 film stocks would be a wonderful asset.

Alohype - from what I've been told by those who are fluent with this technology is that NO, you really can't replicate a Filmstock LUT with regular color correction tools because they don't allow for the multitudes of not only color aspects but also gamma aspects AND gamma aspects as they relate to color.

I saw someone break it all down in detail and after reading half of it I just went: "yeah, okay, I get it...nevermind.."

Thanks for reply! That's a shame.. I think for me at least a general colour guide would be enough - just to get in a film stock ballpark. Similar to what can be found with vsco presets for lightroom - they operate on basic adjustments as there is no access to lightroom api or lut application. Some characteristics I can see straight away, while others are not so obvious. Any chance you could find that breaking down?
