Film script needed for student project

I will be starting my senior year of film school this fall. When I return to school I will have to turn in a script for my senior film project. My areas of interest lie mostly in production and post-production. Therefore screenwriting is not my forté. However I am required to provide my own script for this project. I am looking for either a turnkey script or some assistance in coming up with an idea/story.

Target runtime is 5-15 minutes. I can either shoot on Color 16MM film, or HD Digital.

I will have to quickly finish pre-production when I return to school, and then begin filming, needing to be finished by late November.

All camera/lighting/sound equipment is provided by the school, however, all other production costs are covered by me, out of pocket. Being a student, funds are low.

I would like to keep the number of actors limited, less than 5 being ideal. My main talent pool is a liberal arts university, including members of the drama department (even though they don't make the best screen actors).

As far of my areas of interest go, I like action, suspense, romance, and comedy. The main genre I would like to shoot for is comedy. I know it's difficult, so I'm open to other genres.

The only two ideas I've had that seem like they could work are "The Inconvenience Store", or a story related to time travel culture shock (past to future).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"I am required to provide my own script for this project. I am looking for either a turnkey script..."

Uh, wouldn't it be cheating to use someone else's script for this assignment/homework?

Come on... 'work for hire' means the employer is the 'owner of the copyright'... Isn't this the first lesson in film school?

Do you know how much writing is in a 15 minute short? Post it under writing in Craigslisting and state it's a "no pay" - make sure you tell them you are in need of help. Someone will help you. I've done my share of working with student filmmakers and that time is over for me. Others who haven't done so in this forum I do implore you to give a student a break. At least help one student filmmaker in your writing career.

You might want to link some of your previous work here if you want someone to give you a script. Writers want to make sure their work is done well. Especially when you are new to a community and you are asking for a free script. We don't know you, of course we don't know you, because you're new. But let us get to know you first. Your prior work is a good starting point.

Do everything you can to aim towards 5 minutes rather than 15 minutes. Very few short film scripts have enough depth to remain interesting for 15 minutes. I've seen too many awful boring 15 minute films which would have been immensely improved by being trimmed down to 5 minutes :)

@clang - Yes, closer to 5 minutes would be my preference. But when looking for a script I don't want to limit the time as that could rule out many scripts.

To everyone else, I see this may not have been the bet forum to post on. I've posted on many other forums and received a lot of help and found many people willing to let me read through their scripts. I'm not necessarily looking for a free handout, just some help in an area I'm weak.

I would post some examples of my work, but unfortunately this is the first project that is completely mine. All the other projects I've worked on I was the cinematographer or other function. I will say that 3 of the projects I've worked on have gone on to win Cine Golden Eagles and other awards, including Cor Meum, Ridgeback, and His Name was John S. Mosby. I also just finished working on my first feature film, Milltown Pride.

Since I've not gotten much help on here, I will remove my post tomorrow. In the mean time if anyone is interested in helping me further, please send me a PM. Thanks.
