I'm considering going back to college, since I only have an associate's in multimedia from ITT. Not anywhere near a film degree... Plus I'm having trouble finding jobs in my area to get more experience. It's probably been about 3 or 4 years since I've worked in the field. It's very difficult to update my portfolio when there aren't many jobs and/or student films to work on.
So I was wondering if I should just enroll in the nearest university, since I'm poor, or if I could find a decent film school for a decent price, even out of state (currently live in Missouri). I was looking at Full Sail and some of the Art Institutes, but they're pretty expensive... I'm not sure they're worth it if I can get the same kind of education through a university and my own research and experience...
Where did all of you go to school, and would you recommend it? Should I even go back, or just move somewhere where there's more jobs and try to get more experience?
