What's probably better a College were you get a degree in digital cinema or a an actual film school such as, NY Film Academy, Full Sail, or Los Angeles Film school, I'm just curiouse I dont want to just stick to directing, I wanna learn some more apects of filmmaking screenwriting as well. Well, basicly everyhthing i can learn? Also I heard it's looked down upon when you go to a Film School as opposed to a four year college is that true? Any opinions?

Well, I previously considered full sail and have heard some bad things about it. Apparently they don't help you get jobs afterward and it can be really hard to do. Also they don't really teach you how to do anything, they show you basics of stuff and you have to pursue it on your own. I have hearrd of people going some 8 months after taking the film program before even being able to get a job at a TV News Station. But thats just what I've heard.

really I heard they do help you get intern jobs, like on film sets and tv stations? Only problem I have is that you don'd get an actual degree but a certificate I'm wondering if that lookes bad?

The route I am personally taking is getting a degree in Film from a College. It has some "real world" merit in case this movie thing doesn't work out... or maybe I'm just a coward. Who's to say?

It really depends on what your goals are. If you want a BA in Film Production or whatever, then go to a University's film program. And yes, pretty much all of the university film programs require an internship in order to graduate. I know a girl at a university I used to go to got an internship at Lost. Sometimes you may get lucky. There are also a lot of graduate film programs as well just in case you don't get into a film school that can be easier to get into.

I'm going the university route to get a degree in Film Production. It will at least give me something to fall back on (just in case I somehow decide I want to go to law school all of a sudden). Plus, film programs usually have gear you can borrow and on top of that, there are lots of other students around you that will help out with your film that just want the experience. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure who told you you wouldn't get a degree at Full Sail, but they're quite wrong. Currently they're offering associates and bachelors degrees in film production.

the school isn't accredited by the state so employers don't take it as an actual degree. Which in turn, makes it harder to get jobs
