Hey guys,

A really good cinema book/course recommendation if you want to learn how to write/shoot rich, compelling scenes: Pepperman's Film School: How to Watch DVDs and Learn Everything About Filmmaking. On a tip from a screenwriting friend I decided to go through it, and it has definitely influenced my writing for the better. For those of you who cannot go to film school or enroll in an MFA screenwriting program, this course is for you. It's available in the FS section.

Thanks Kyle. Just ordered that book (along with "The Power of the Dark Side: Creating Great Villains, Dangerous Situations, & Dramatic Conflict" by Pamela Jaye Smith)

That book should have come with a DVD... nay Bluray, disc, that had all the edit points...

Not having that... I'd recommend either Netflix subscription, or in my case, buying a large number of the films mentioned in DVD format...

The book does not come with a DVD, unfortunately... which is why I purchased all the DVDs. As it turns out, many of these films are extraordinary, and it is very helpful to see the points Pepperman makes in the context of the film as a whole.

But the course is available in its entirety -- DVDs and BOOK -- for sale in the FS gear section at less than 1/2 the original cost.
