Film Prep checklist

I'm going crazy as I prep for my shoot coming up in about a week or so.

I'm trying to come up with a checklist before the shoot to make sure unnecessary mistakes can be avoided.

Shooting with two Nikon D800s
Shooting Hand Held

Can you guys help me put one together? Things could be as simple as:
1. Check Batteries (All batteries - Camera / monitor / portable lights)
2. Check White Balance
3. Check Frame rates on both cameras
4. Check Shutter Speeds on both cameras
5. ...

thx.

After testing the equipment properly, I think it'd suffice to say "make sure both cameras are mirrored" rather than try to figure out every setting that could have possibly been changed. If necessary, reset both cameras to default (does the d800 have a reset to default function? I'm sure it must) then make any necessary changed you want with both of them at the same time.

The reason I never get too worried about having a list such as "check to make sure both cameras are at the same shutter speed," is that you should ALWAYS be checking the shutter speed (or any other settings) for any particular shot. It's less "make sure the cameras are at the same shutter speed" and more "make sure the cameras are at the appropriate shutter speed" which you should be doing regardless of the number of cameras. You should never be accidentally shooting at the wrong shutter speed or the wrong frame rate. Set it to where it's supposed to be, for all cameras, all the time forever.

Anyway, yeah. Test your equipment. Charge your batteries. Clean your lenses. Have spares. Get a system in place for dumping footage and keeping track of cards. Make sure they're formatted.

I dunno. This all seems like common sense stuff. Just... use prep time for prep.

Good luck with the shoot.
