Film Nation Wide Distribution

With money, and from the sound of it, lots. If there's one thing I know how to do, it's commerce, make money and secure financing. ...

Money and a good head for business will certainly bode you well. While you're researching distribution, go to this year's AFM, (America Film Market) and meet some of your upcoming competitors as well as customers to be. Just keep in mind that this industry is going through rapid changes and getting the drop on a moving target means there's an opportunity to aim where things Will be, as opposed to where they Are when you're ready to "pull the trigger".

The best way I've found to get large distribution is to use a service like Creative DCP (www.creativedcp.com) where they charge a 1 time fee to create a DCP out of your film, and then they charge a little extra per theater you'd like to have a copy (on hard drive) sent to.

I went through this same problem when I started a film festival. Good luck!

"Put simply Edit in Adobe Premiere, out put as DPX or TIFF, master (convert) with "easyDCP Creator+" (about $10k). "

While those are the very high level steps - color management, calibration and proper conversion to XYZ color space needs to be adhered to if what you see on the screen end up being the same as what you saw on your screen.
