Film Festivals

[Brandon Rice]

So, my short film just was selected to be in a film festival. How many of you have gotten into a film festival? And, what all does it entail? Just wanted to know what to expect. I got into the Action On Film International Film Festival, in Long Beach, CA.
Thanks in advance.

that was a sweet video!!!

..please delete and move post to the section entitled

"Business/Post Production
Festivals? Networking? Distribution? Discuss what to do when the filming is done. "

all festivals are different in as far as what they entail or require you to do if anything. you should contact the festival officers for the specific festival you are in, or visit their webpage for details.

briceman,
we have been lucky enough to make four film festivals in the last couple months for "hunting camp". and we have seen both stellar and bad - but have made sure to have a great time at the ones we could attend. i don't personally know anything about action on film but I have seen the name around.

iamloser is right, check out their site thoroughly, try and make the trek to the festival and get acquainted with the people in charge. hopefully they are accessible and will answer everything you throw at them.

good luck! no matter what just have a great time with it, people outside your family/friends ring is going to see your film - that's VERY cool!
