Film Exposed effect simulation ??

Anybody have any tutoriel on how to simulat a light exposed on film for digital footage like this ....

Those are called light leaks, an effect much better suited for After Effects.
Art Beats sells several of these effects, a little expensive if you ask me. http://www.artbeats.com/prod/product.php?pg=1&id=160.

I'm in the process of making my own version, If it comes out alright I'll let you know.

Most likely that's just actual film leader that's been composited on with transfer modes. Artbeats and others offer stuff like that as stock.

Does anyone know where we could get a plug-in like this for free? It's a really cool effect, and I'm kinda suprised no one has figured out how to do it by now. Definately interested in what you guys figure out.

DFT has one in their Composite Suite that could probably be coerced into doing something like what you want:

I did a very quick test in AE. It was pretty close, it took me about 5 minutes, so I'm going to try to tweak it and get it closer. I'll keep you posted.

effects like that arent free.... if they were free everyone and their mothers would use them..
like i said..i'm willing to split the cost of that with someone if they are interested.... or 3 ppl split etc...
