Film Credits

I usually grab a couple of DVDs and look at their credits for order as well as typography.

I did the Gladiator thing, Iwas worried about having some appear before others but now if they have probs, I can say . . . speak to Ridley ;)

Is your film associated with SAG or any of the "Guild's"? If not, do whatever you want. Now's the time to experiment and have the freedom to express yourself, even in your titles and credits. For the feature we're working on we'll probably have more "thank you's" in the credits then cast and crew! And check out Napoleon Dynamite, they listed all their extra's (imagine if they did that for Gandhi.)

I've always wanted to make a credit roll starting with "A Film By" followed by the names of the whole cast and crew, in alphabetical order.

It's the egalitarian in me.

You can get a little creative with it as well. Instead of using "a film by" Spike Lee uses "A Spike Lee Joint".

I specifically don't try to put "A Film By" anymore. Considering I'm not shooting on film!

It donned on me a while ago, and now it's going to be "A Motion Picture by Mike Donis" :D

production managers sometimes like a full card.. but its really whatever you want, but top people like to be up near the top, and check contracts, if its in the contract and you signed it you should do it.
