I have joined Team Seattle to win the 72hr Filmerica Film Contest.

Help Seattle win the Filmerica competition! The idea is to produce a 5-7
minute piece in 72 hours (a genre, prop and character will be assigned to
us right before production). The clip will hopefully gain nationwide
coverage. While a good deal of improvising will be required,
professionalism across the board will be expected.

We have a crew that consists of a range of people from absolute beginners
to people who have "Top Gun" and "Jurassic Park" on their resumes. This is
an excellent chance for veterans to represent Seattle and beginners to
pick up valuable experience (with great mentors).

We're specifically looking for a couple more camera men and editors. Email
dustin@webconnoisseur.com if you are interested in joining the team. Our
next crew meeting will be Tuesday @ 6:30.

Thanks,
Dustin

Thanks, I'll be sure to post our finished short on the 18th of July. We've got a great group of people, so I have high expectations.

Visit the Whatcom Film and Video group page http://www.whatcomfilmandvideo.com/ John Mortensen can blast out to the group and hopefully find someone to help.

And of course if you need any last minute help...I may know a thing or two about FCP http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&biw=1308&q=guy+cochran+final+cut&btnG=Search

By the way...we just became the Pacific Northwest's latest Apple Authorized Reseller for Professional Video. If you need anything gimme a ring. You know where we're at Kev.

Your the man

Your the man

Thanks for the lead Guy. Are you interested in getting involved at all? I'm sure you have a wealth of knowledge that would be invaluable. Maybe if your too busy during the 15-16 I might be able to ring you if we hit a technical snag?

Congrats, it sounds like your biz is coming right along.

Thanks a lot

-Kevin

Seattle has a lot of non-profit film groups, hopefully you'll find one you like and blend in with.
I'll be available via cell phone that weekend and if you really hit a big snag I'll come on out and lend a hand.
Where do you guys plan on editing at?

Hey Guy,

We just got a great FCP editor. Her name is Julie Offer. If your available by cell that is all I really need for the "just in case" scenario. We will know within a week where we will be editing. Hopefully we will be close to the set. We are still mulling through locations to find one to suite our needs. I'll send you a private message with the password to our forum just in case you want to give any advice.

Thanks -Kevin
