I have created a small program for those of you who want to know the cost of different film stocks. Included are 16mm, 35mm and 35mm 3 Perf. Simply download the .zip file, unzip it and install the program. It also ONLY supports 24 FPS.

ENJOY!

PS) There might be another version released soon, which might cost a little money (around the $5.00 range), but it will include a lot more features, like More film types, various frame rates, etc.

Nice little application Landon, thanks for posting it. I would love to see a 2 perf option as well as this is something that is really getting my interest as of late.

Thanks again!

"Thank you! that is really nice  ,but see the film calculator of kodak:"
Yep, I was aware of there calculator. However, the advantage to mine is that you don't have to be online and also you don't have to navigate though Kodaks website everytime you need it.

I'm not saying mine is better than Kodaks, because it's not in any way... But anyway, kodak's calculator is more about run time than cost.

PS) khmuse:
35 2 perf, 65mm, IMAX and variable frame rates version soon to come. Also the calculator will display the actual film frame size for each selection, which is not really needed, but kind of cool.

Also, the application will have a newer, more sleek design. Best yet? It will still be 100% free.

It should be up and running by: Wed, Dec 27th.

Theres another app that I'm making as well, which will be out by around the first of 2007. It will display the Technical information for almost all modern indie videos cameras... From the DVX to the D20 and Genesis, and everything in between. IT will include price, product links, pictures, most all tech specs you'd need to know about the cameras. As of now, cost will probably be somewhere around $4.99, but I'm not sure. Normally I would not charge, but its a LOT of work to get most technical facts on 30+ cameras, put it all together in an app, etc. It also saves you a lot of time looking around on the net for those facts!
