Film budgeting software

I'm trying to help someone out who is looking for a good film budgeting software and also film scheduling software.

Not having much luck doing a search, unless I missed it the recommendations are a number of years old.


Any current recommendations?
I believe he needs the software to work with Final Draft.

There wouldn't happen to be an industry standard that everyone uses?

There is a standard but its aged and pricey. Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting are the two "industry standard" apps. There is a new web solution called scenechronize that does pretty much everything MM Scheduling does, but for free (in single user mode).

For a lot of projects MM Budgeting is overkill and a good excel spreadsheet is more than suitable.

I use Gorilla Film Production from Jungle Software because it has both scheduling and budgeting all in one. It works for both Final Draft and MM
