I have all my old FX1 footage that I was using for my current video on my laptop. I imported all of the footage from my camera onto that laptop and I can view it on it perfectly. Since I bought my Mac, im going to be doing all my editing on that now, so I transferred all my FX1 footage to my external HD, but when I try to take the footage from my external and open it on my Mac ( Adobe Premier Pro CS4 ) it says it doesn't support its file type. So what do I need to get to be able to open and edit my HDV footage? So I can edit my HVX and FX1 footage together to complete my video?

Thanks

No all the Fx1 footage was captured on my PC, I transferd all the footage on my PC to my External HD, then I tried to put it in my Premier Pro CS4 timeline and it wont except it. And it will not let me open it up with any program to view the footage. But I also had this kind problem on my PC, it would let me view and edit everything in Adobe, but when I went to open it in Windows Movie player, it would say it didn't support its format or something like that.

And im currently making a video with my FX1 footage and my HVX footage, and I couldn't figure out how to mix the footage on the same timeline?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Mike

I would suspect that file format created when captured on Windows is incompatible on the Mac.

You may be able to export everything from your PC version of Premiere as HDV Quicktimes, which may then work. But you may also have to recapture the files on the Mac.
