File limitation with Raylight and Vegas Pro 9?

I'm setting up a new project in Vegas Pro 9.0c and bringing in P2 footage to bins set up in project media. Each bin is broken down into the contents of one P2 card as in Media Bins>HPX>1, Media Bins>HPX>2, etc...

After I've brought in about 40+ gigs of footage inthe separate bins, Raylight suddenly can't find the video when I go to the next bin to open more MXF files and I get an error message that the files I'm bringing in are not MXF files. All the previously brought in footage then has a black sample image stating that the video is not found.

Any idea what is causing the confusion for Raylight?

I'm using XP Pro on a Quad Core PC with 4 gigs of ram.

After loading everything for the fifth try I got all the clips in their bins, then when I go to pull one down to the time line, I get an error "Could not decode thread."

After working all day on this, and deleting and reloading Raylight, re-starting computer twenty times, etc... I'm still getting the "Can not decode thread" message if I put MXF's in the timeline. And this is with just the info from two P2 cards (an 8 and a 16 gig). I'm stumped and my client wants this on Friday. Oh well, it's off to Mom's for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow..... Today has been a total Murphy's law day. Does anyone else have these days?
