'File format too new for this version'

I'm running fcp 6 on a mac pro with leopard, just tried to open a project file that was captured and created on a g5 that I've done before with no problems but when I open this project file I get the message "file's format is too new for this version of the application' I checked for updates and ran them, still getting the message. Any ideas?

You need to be running 6.0.2 check your version, if it does not say "6.0.2." you don't have the lastest version. Strange it wouldn't show in auto updater, but you can manually get it from Apple's website.

Sometimes files just get screwed up. If you export an XML file from the G5 and open that up on the Mac Pro you should be good to go.
