We are filming a fight scene here pretty soon and wanted to make it sweet! Do you guys have any tips on this? (Camera angles, choreography info., techniques, etc)

It depends if you want like Borune Supremacy/Ultimatum style it's mostly hand held camera work with very quick cuts and lots of action in the frame. Or you could slow it down a bit, still hand held but allow more time per shot. Lots of a convincing fight is the actors, lots of a cool fight is camera work and editing. Get a good mixture it will look awesome.
Recently the average length of a shot in the Borune Ultimatum, it's alot faster then you might think. I think it's averages out to be around 1 shot per like 2 seconds, that's an extreme example but think of any fight scene rarely is the camera still or does one shot run for very long.

cool thanks for the tip. I was also watching a tutorial yesterday and and it said that when the actor had thrown the punch and his head snaps back (like an over the shoulder shot) you can edit out like a little part of when his head is snapping back toward the camera to give it an effect that you were really punched and it looked really convincing!

I'm shooting at a fight scene too...
where did you find this tutorial Clarkage? is it online?

ya it was pretty helpfl and had a good amount of tips but i cant find it so im sorry but do you have any ?'s about it cuz i can answer that

well guys i told Omar that i would make him a tutorial myself because i cannot find this old one so hopefully it will be up here pretty soon i have already started it.

I've been waiting on Fight Choreography: The Art of Non-Verbal Dialog since early last year.. would be nice if the damn thing would come out already.. :furious3: Especially now that the guy I used to work with has moved to Texas. Sorry I've not got any more to contribute.. But I'd say keep an eye out for this book, if it ever becomes available.

OK here is that tutorial i promised! I am going to apologise ahead for the bad video quality. =( But it is an alright tutorial! It just shows the basics that all fight scenes should have and has a cool litlle trick in it that they use in hollywood that i mentioned earlier up top ^^^
