Fight Club again... shake effect

Hi,
I was wondering if someone knows how to make the effect where the screen begins shaking, as the camera is shooting B.Pitt... all of this in Final Cut Pro 5...

I would like to get a shaked screen, but in post, not buy using the camera itself, neither by keyframing the center/anchor point of the sequence...

Thanks.....:costumed-smiley-047

Not bad! Thanks, I actually ver tried those filters! This earthquake thing is pretty close to what I'm looking for.

The only thing here, is that 'Earthquake' is a transition effect, and I need this effect on a sequence not between 2 clips. This would allow me to control the level of the shake effect throughout the sequence, that I can't really do with the dissolve effect....

Thanks.

The shake is a manual shake of the camera and then is motion tracked on the eyes and is stabilized around the eyes. It's a really neat effect if you can do it right.

Thanks.... but how do you track the motion on the eye of the actor, and how do you stabilized it.... if it is image is shaking.?

Thanks.

We did that for a few videos and it requires the camera body to actually be opened up for that shake. If you don't like the plugin in fcp, after effects also has a earthquake shake supplied by digiefects i believe. It's not bad. Put some motion blur on it too.

Thanks.
I've never tracked/stabilized this kind of effect in After Effects. Does anyone knows if there is a tutorial online...?
Or does it recquire a strong experience in AE?

It is not that I don't like plug in FCP, it's just that the earthquake DISSOLVE makes it hard to be applicable in one sequence. If anyone knows another plug in though...

Thanks again....

if it's just a transition couldn't you just cut the scene where you want it to take place? it would essentially transition to itself and do the same thing (as long as there's no cross-over, but i haven't checked it out)

For the thing im working on now what I did was use after effects and made 2 comps. One with the footage and what ever i wanted to do to it and when its done you put it into the other comp and apply the wiggler plugin to it. This way all you footage will shake but you can still go back into the footage comp and adjust without having it shake all around.
