Fig Rig and DVX100

yep just bought the rig last week and used it tonight for the first time. i can say that so far i like it a lot and it suits my style of shooting .it helps steady out the tilt shakes or the tipping from side to side when handheld which i find more annoying then the ups and downs. its really solid to & IMO pretty light weight. you are able to hold the grip below the QR plate with one hand if you need to make cam adjustments with the other with out much of a problem. i also made a start/stop control minus the zoom from a diagram in the DIY forum that came in really handy.

yes i agree that the dual grip concept is great, only i found the wheel too cumbersome between shoots, I couldn't find an easy way to rest it or switch to tripod. the guys from Alan Gordon where kind enough to let me try the
Multi Rig Stabilizer, Same concept only very compact, super light, tripod plate
attached to the unit ready to slide in my QR, very easy to balance and the shoots are very smooth and controlled. i ended up taking the unit with the support pod, now this is really a very clever system, you can really fly the camera with no stress for as long as you want, i have seen a post somewhere here suggesting doing walking shoots shooting to the side, tried it
and my walking shoots are now twice as fluent.
