Field monitor?

Hi guys,

I'm wondering what you guys're using as a field monitor?

I'll be shooting a project next month, I'd like to have a large monitor(what I mean by large is: bigger than the DVX LCD). So my crew can look at it as I'm shooting. I would like to have the 16:9 aspect ratio capability since I'll be shooting in squeez. Do you guys always bring a SONY 9"+ field monitor with you on the shoot? Or there's some other cheaper alternatives? Thanks.

Shaun

I have had great luck with the JVC TM-910SU 9" monitor. It's the exact same thing as the more expensive Ikegami TM9-1 9-Inch monitor. The only difference is the nameplate. We have a bunch of the Ikegamis at KBDI in Denver, in our control room, and they work very well.

Anyway, my JVC has gotten me throuh all kinds of shoots from shorts to features. It's been dropped (about 12") and it's still working great. You won't be disappointed with the TM-910SU.
