I have been looking for a 8" to 10" color field monitor but the one I want is discontinued and no one has it. The new Sony 9L3 to replace the PVM-8045Q will not be out for 10 or more weeks. It looks like it will cost $1200 - $1300. It's the only one I can find with 450 lines of resolution. There are several with 250 to 300 that are half this price. Is the difference really worth the money. Should I wait and purchase the new model or save the money and go with a JVC at 280 lines?
