Field mixers

Hey,

Anyone use these on their features they've worked on? I will be capturing audio directly to the camera. I'm not using a field recorder. What about a field mixer? Any thoughts?

At the top of the audio forum there are three threads in yellow that read "Sticky" next to them. Read through them and follow the links that are pertainate to your concerns. Scratch that, follow all the links. There are a few you can probably skim through because they have a bit of bickering in them but there is a lot of beginner gold is there.

Enjoy

Hi imageonpictures,

The subject is covered bilion times, thats why you don't get anwsers. Wabbit has guide you well.

To answer your question in short: Field mixer will provide you much better sound, using it with a good mic, of caurse. Lousy mic, lousy sound whatever the case.

A very good choice, probably the industry standard in field mixers : http://www.sounddevices.com/products/302master.htm

Yep, covered here a number of times. That said, I always use a field mixer on every project.
