I know fiberglass is pretty fragile, and I'm thinking about how to protect the legs of my new tripod when I go to jobs. (No flying...just moving it from house to car to location and back.)
Of course, I'll always make sure it's in its soft case and on top of anything else I'm carting around. I also bought some lengths of foam pipe insulation, to wrap around the legs.
Beyond these steps, do you think it's really necessary to buy a hard case for it?
