FHD monitor for editing: HDMI better than D-Sub

I'm in the market for a FHD PC monitor since I'm running out of screen realestae whilst editing, and Resolve Lite requires it. Looking at offerings and specials, lotta times a D-Sub FHD monitor is about half the price of a HDMI monitor (I'm sure there will be more advantages). Is there a reason to pick an HDMI input PC monitor (just monitor, no sound) over a D-Sub FHD monitor?
