ff whip length?

I'm about to purchase redrock's ff and was wondering what whip length I should get? I'll mostly be shooting with an A1 and LEX on shoulder and tripod, and will probably only have a puller only 50% of the time.

I can imagine having all 3 lengths (3", 12", 18") can be helpful depending on the situation, but was just wondering how often those 3 lengths are really used. Any feedback would be appreciated!
 
I haven't actually used one before, but I would think to get a 3" and an 18" so you can easily have one close, and on further away for when you have a puller..
 
Im thinking if you cant go an extra 3'' towards you cam just to get the wheel, your pretty damn lazy, I go a 12'' with my indiefocus, in which should be coming in on mon, Ill tell you how I like it.
