If so, and connecting to an iMac (2011), would a NuForce Icon uDAC-2 be a good idea? While I'm at it, I do not use audio software for post, just make adjustments in CS5 Soundbooth/Premiere. I hear names like ProTools, etc. What Mac-based audio software is well-suited for a newbie who wants to do a better job at the basics. (I have a pro who I will rely on help me with more complex work, but for basic work, I need something.)

625 for a pair of Gennie's? If you are sure they are not messed up.........grab 'em.

Protools is the "standard" but I have never gone with the flow. I run Digital Performer.
