Just wanted to let all of you know that my video, The Loner, was just accepted into the Holly Shorts festival. Despite problems with the DVD (they had to play it on their computer to get it to work). Never ask your 70 year old father to make DVDs for you! D'oh!

Other than the DVXfest, this is my first festival. Wish I could be in Hollywood Aug. 13-14th to see it on the screen. Double D'oh!

Thanks to all of you for your help, support, and advice. I seriously couldn't have done it without you.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I knew you would be accepted, and if you werent, then the festival would have had to be a crock. They recognize talent when they see it!

Great news PK. It's too bad you can't be there, because that's really the best part of being in a festival. If there's *any* way you can go, make it happen.
 
Well Barry, recently there seems to be a large amount of money in my PayPal account. How it got there, I don't know. But it's almost enough for a round trip ticket. :) Hmmmmmm The devil on my shoulder is saying "Visit Cheaptickets.com" but the angel is saying, "Visit Cheaptickets.com" WAIT! That's the devil in disguise. Bad devil! Bad devil!

The Loner is a great short. This won't be the last festival that accepts it. I can promise you that. Congrats!
 
That must be one of those crackpot festivals that will accept anyone's film :evil:


Just kidding....that's great news. Congratulations! :thumbsup: I will be down there the second week in August, maybe I'll see if I can't stay an extra couple days and check it out for you PK.
 
I really enjoyed your movie and thought the twist at the end was funny (the note :)). I hope all goes well at the festival. I've never been to a festival or entered one but Im excited about the day it happens.

Congrats PK...I wouldn't blame the old man too much, I've made dvd's that play everywhere until they reach their intended target and poof!...Nothing. Maybe if there was one standard.............Yeh, beggars would ride!

P.S. I thought he was saying 'Hocus Pocus'. :) HAHAH, I really do have an unsafe obsession with that line. So much so that I'm probably misquoting it

Mike - Wish more people would download "When the Acorns Fell..." I think there are a few people here who might like it and "get it". Still working on a getting a larger version uploaded. Been busy lately. Should be up in another week.
