Hello Screenplay Writers of DVXuser.

I know many of you have really great scripts that you may sell to people in Hollywood for lots of cash. And for those of you in that boat, I'm extremely excited. However, there may be those of you who have ideas that you want to get made and simply want your proper percentage if sold.

This is what I propose, for those who want to make movies could you give us some info and what you're looking for incase a director/producer comes by and desires the screenplay.

Could you put it in this format.

Title: "DVXMovie"
Logline: "What happens when Directors meet Writers online - love or continuous digital problems"
Genre: Love Story - Comedy
Length: 90 pages
Characters: Approx 15
Locations: Atlanta / 11 Locations (3 houses, 2 restaurants, a park, etc)
Pay/Points: Give me $1000 or 3 points on the sale
Summary: A young director looking for his next screenplay was out on DVXuser, a website for digital filmmaking. He noticed a gorgeous screenplay, but was afraid to ask it out. Finally gaining the nerve, he asked for the screenplay for his next film and magic happened. They went on to make lots of movies and money.
Notes: Don't mind if the screenplay is altered or not. Wouldn't mind collaborating to finish the screenplay.

This way we all know what you the screenwriter are looking for. Last I checked most screenwriters get 2 to 5 points of the sale of the movie. In the notes you can say if the movie is complete, whether you mind if someone rewrites your screenplay (this is done all the time in Hollywood), or any other info that you would like a director to know.
 
I think this is a good idea. I have some ideas floating around that i could definitely put up here.

And I agree...this should be a sticky. Maybe an Admin could take care of that for us?

Yep, I was hoping this could help bride the gap between directors/producers and writers. And if the writers could give us all a good example of what they hope to receive, maybe we can get to the main point of the board - to make projects! :)
 
To get the ball rolling:

Title: "The Lone Rangers"
Logline: "Two movie obsessed friends with nothing in the world left to lose, get dragged head first into an "almost life" of crime."
Genre: Comedy - Drama
Length: 112 pages
Characters: Approx 10
Locations: Small town anywhere/ 15 Locations (houses, restaurants, betting shop, night club)
Pay/Points: Give me $1000 or 3 points on the sale
Summary: Written with micro budget in mind. But big on laughs and heart.
Notes: Don't mind if the screenplay is altered or not. Wouldn't mind collaborating to finish the screenplay.
 
Another:

Title: "Blood Brothers"
Logline: "A dying Marine on the War torn streets of Iraq, reflects on the life that lead him to this fatal moment."
Genre: Drama/Action
Length: 90 pages
Characters: Approx 8
Locations: Small town anywhere/Iraq. 20 Locations (houses, Iraq street, Military base, Factory, bar)
Pay/Points: Give me $1000 or 3 points on the sale
Summary: Written with low to middle budget in mind. Some intense (small scale) action scenes.
Notes: Don't mind if the screenplay is altered or not. Wouldn't mind collaborating to finish the screenplay.
