FCPX to COMPRESSOR to DVDSP

I have a 2 hour long presentation video that I need chapter markers for. Does anyone know if I do them in FCPX, then export a master h.264 file, then use Compressor to make the DVD files (from the h.264) for DVDSP if the chapter markers will remain?

Actually, you can insert chapter markers in FCPx nowadays. You have to specify the type of marker you are inserting. You can also choose to do them in compressor. The thing I like about doing them in FCPx is that you can actually use the chapter markers in quicktime exports as well.

Wait a minute. Hold up. Why do you want to make a H264 file if you're going to DVD? You're introducing a layer of compression that's going to make your MPEG2 compressed video look much worse than it needs to. H264 is a lossy compression, even though it looks pretty good to the eye, there is a lot of info that is thrown out that the next level of compression to MPEG2 is going to amplify and especially if you have a 2 hour video going to a DVD5.
Export a ProRes422 file (yes it's big) and then bring that into Compressor (set the frame controls!) and you'll have a much better finished product.

Sorry, I thought that was clear in the original post. I am doing the markers in FCPX

Make sure when you create the master that you select the export to the master that you go to the share menu, when the master file share window opens up, go to the settings tab and make sure you select include chapter markers. When you go to create the DVD in compresssor, under the Job menu check the box that says use chapter marker text for subtitles. Then highlight the MPEG-2 source file and go to the general tab and select the include chapter markers only choice. Then you should see all of your chapters markers when you create the dvd.
