fcpx sees drive as a camera??

Can you provide more information on the issue you're having and how it came about?

I think I figured it out from scanning other forums. It seems there were files on the drive which have CAM in the name and when I moved those the file could be seen as a drive. Apparently any use of the names VIDEO,MOVIES, DCIM, AVCHD, CAM etc cause the drive to be seen as a camera.

If you put the camera-card on the root level of a drive, then FCPX sees it as a camera-card. You should anyway ALWAYS create project dedicated directories before you start copying cards, so you don´t overwrite stuff.
