FCPX Multicam question

I have a multicam project I am about to start on. I have some go pro footage but it breaks it up into 4gb (i think) file sizes. Is there anyway to to a multicam clip where all those go pro clips get looked at as a single cam? When I did it, FCPX saw each clip as a separate camera

Ah ha, I am guessing this is to do with the formatting of the Go Pro card as FAT 32.

I'm not sure what formats a GoPro mem card likes or is happy with. You could try to externally format the card as NTFS or exFAT and see if it works. Please report back if it accepts other formats.

EDIT - Dusty has given you a great solution...

Thanks guys. I had thought of Dusty's solution. It is the best I could come up with but I did not know if I was just working harder than I needed to.

put all the Gpro footage on a timeline and export it as a continuous clip, reimport, multicam away.
I believe you could also make a new compound clip out of it eleminating the need to export it...
Not sure they work in multicam though, but would think so.

Or just manually drag them to the same track in the multicam editor...

Or if you import them directly into FCPX then it will make one continious clip...

i'd just manually line those up in the Multicamera Angle Editor. Then you can add other angles if desired. Don't bother with a Compound Clip.
