fcpx - free trial crippled?

Hi, users. I'm trying out fcpx in free trial mode and see there are very few variables for export. Is this due to not having compressor as well?

The trial is not crippled compared to FCP X retail at all- same exact app minus a time limit. But yeah of course Compressor would give you more export options if you're looking for something specific.

Just a quick FWIW, a great way to export with X is to "Command E" and make a Pros Res master of your project. Then just drop these masters onto Compressor in your dock and apply a predefined setting like "6000kbs/AAC." We have to output our work to a wide range of outputs - primarily broadcast that includes, 1080P for network and cable, 480i for the stations that don't air HD commercials, 720p for client approval and ftp, etc.

I have a folder in Compressor with all the different broadcaster's requirements and it's the fastest workflow I've used so far. Also, X and the new Compressor work incredibly fast together. I just rendered a spot and 2:30 web/promo film for a client. The 422 master takes less than a minute and all the versions of the 30 second spot, at 15k and 30k .264 took less than 5 minutes each.

Hoping to figure out if I could use fcpx without buying it and compressor first. I like your suggestion and will explore that.
