FCPX File Problems

I have a fcpx project on an external drive that keeps giving me this error: "The hard disk where your library is located may be full or unavailable or permissions may have changed. To avoid losing your work, quit Final Cut Pro." The file permissions are fine and there is plenty of room on the disk. If I move the file to the computer hard drive, it gives me the same error. I have tried it on several computers. I am currently using 10.2.2.

I have used the disk utility to verify and repair permissions. No clue what to do now

Any help is appreciated.
 
If you can't open up the library at all without getting the error and have to close down, try this:

(First, I would try moving the library to a completely different external hard drive and see if it opens there.)

If not, leave it there or copy it to another safe place. You need to back up everything!

Right-click on the library you would like to try this with, and 'Show Package Contents'. Erase everything inside the 'Original Media' folder...then erase everything inside 'Render Files' next.

If that works and you can successfully open up the event/project, you'll need to re-link your files again.
 
Yes. Tried it on 3 separate computers. Mac Mini, Macbook Pro, and Macbook air. All show the same error. Other libraries are fine.

Logically, I know it has to be something in the Library, but I don't know what else to try.
 
Try copying the event folder into a different library...or try copying the project's timeline into a different event.

There is a corruption somewhere and you need to keep troubleshooting.

You want to get into that library somehow without it closing down, and immediately copy or move your event or project to a different library. Or even just trying to select everything in your timeline and pasting it somewhere else.
