I spent some time trying to figure out how to zoom in/out on the timeline in 10.3. It used to be a small slider at the bottom, and it's gone now altogether with the bottom bar. Which is a good thing since that bar was mostly a waist of space. FYI - that zoom slider is now in the "clip appearance" window which is kind of inconvenient to keep it open if you need to zoom frequently. However, the shortcut cmd +/- works just fine.
BTW, The new timeline role thing in 10.3 is amazing - just try to use "Open Audio Lanes" in the timeline index (Roles tab). It's somewhat similar to the regular track concept. But these are not really tracks since they still work as a part of the magnetic timeline. It's difficult to explain but once you see, it it's very simple and intuitive. All the beauty of tracks with magnetic timeline. Amazing how they managed to do this. Probably I'll never touch PP anymore.
