FCPX 10.1 Select and copy ALL layers within a range

I need to copy and paste a range selection which includes text/audio/video layers from one project to another but can't figure out how to select all layers within that range in the timeline, anyone help?

edit* I know i can manually cut all the layers and then lasso them but Im hoping theres a less time consuming method
