FCPX 10.1.14 - close timeline sequences

say I've got 5 projects open on the timeline - is it possible to close specific open timeline sequences without closing down the related library?
 
You can navigate between open Projects by using the left and right arrows.
They are directly under the Import downward facing arrow.

Yes, all open Projects are hidden except the one you're working on, and those arrows navigate between them. But, I don't think you can close a Project without closing the Library it's in. Well, right-clicking the Project in the Library viewer and choosing Move to Trash will do it, but that's probably not usually a viable solution :-)
 
I'm familiar with the left/right navigation,
problem is I'm in the process of cutting a new showreel and have a lot of open libraries/projects, I'd like to be able to elect specific timeline projects to keep open,
at the mo i open a variety of projects to check footage but have to close the libraries to eliminate them from the timeline,
If i open the timeline index it reduces the number open to the currently selected library (I think!)
previous versions of FCPX offered a button that would reveal a list of currently open timeline projects, can't remember if it allowed you to close specific projects, I've emailed Apple support about bringing back this function for future updates

Final Cut Library Manager is a great program that every FCPX user should have. It allows all kinds of great things, like deleting render files, etc. But, it still doesn't address the OPs question - I don't think it can close a Project but leave the enclosing Library open. I just looked, and if it's there, I can't find it. I will also leave a Final Cut Pro Feedback about this.

That's about it, once a Project is open it stays open until the associatedLibrary is closed.

The closest thing to a Project List I know of is; holding the forward or backward arrows for a couple of seconds and a List appears of what is therein.
This is just a shortcut of clicking the arrow keys and does not close Projects.

What I have noted is that if a Library is closed the Project name stays in the list until FCP X is closed.
Clicking a Project from the list with a closed Library causes FCP X to get into a spin. Not recommended. :(

I didn't know about this, thanks, its handy for quick navigation between projects,
I've sent a request to re-introduce the "reel" icon for a list view of open projects with a checkbox option to close specific projects from within that list
 
posted in FCPX feature requests about this issue, almost one year on - I cant believe its still not possible to close specifc open projects in the timeline, such a basic requirement!

Updated FCPX, loving the new interface!
but still cant find if this function has been added, anyone know if its possible now?
