FCPHD, 24p, and Slow Motion

I am sure there have been several threads on this, and I have scanned through a few of them. Most indicate that one should shoot what they want in slo-mo in 60i then plop it into a 24p timeline to get the best slo-mo, or something like that.

My question is this: if someone is committed to shooting EVERYTHING @ 24p, are there any programs or plug-ins for FCP that will do the in-between frames in a smoother fashion than FCPHD does natively? I realize the result might not be quite as good as the 60i method, but I would like to be able to make slo-mo decisions in post instead of shooting that way for just a few selected shots.

Will Apple's new "Motion" program do this? And is "Motion" intended to be a AE killer like FCP has been a Premiere killer for the Mac plaform? I have looked at Apple's preliminary info for "Motion" but haven't found this. Anyone know?

For what it's worth, I DID run a few searches before posting a new thread. As a newbie, I knew I would catch flak for this...!

..but that being said, thank you very much for your link. My wife is in graduate school, so academic version here I come!! Looks like a great program.

Hmmm... someone once wrote on their screen name... "ask & be a fool once\don't ask and be a fool forever."

LOL -- no, you are both right, but I'd also put my vote in for Boris.

"...but the best slo mo for not too much money I've ever seen is included as an effect in Boris' Continuum... incredibly smooth.. plus you get a ton of other effects as well. It will look incredible... trust me, I've been blown away by what Boris has done with slo mo." Jerry Hofmann.

Good luck - oh, and have her pick up a copy for me, too!
