I recently installed a new SSD drive into my macbook pro. I used migration assistant to transfer over some programs, but not FCP, which I installed from scratch. Whenever I try to open it, I get the registry error window that tells me to make sure FCP has been installed correctly. Based on the very few Google hits, people keep saying to check for plug-ins that keep causing this, or to try installing from scratch, but neither of those are helpful because I don't have any FCP plug-ins (how would I even find out which plug-ins are the culprit?). I checked under library > preferences and there was no finalcut.plist files, if that means anything. While FCP tries to open, it always gets hung up on loading Guitar Rig 4, but I've gone through and deleted every Guitar Rig 4 file I can find, yet FCP still tries to load it.
Has anyone had this problem before? I'm at my wit's end here...
