FCP6 - "Smooth Cam" Processing times?

i like the idea it really work but........ i don,t know why the footage now looks dv as compared to the shakey hd 720 p that it looked before . i can see about 3% reframing might lowwer res but... there is a huge pic degrading happening . huge difference. if all the smoothcam program does is reframe , and each frame is clear , why when it plays back is it such a crappy picture? am i missing something, or just really picky.

also if only part of the clip needs to be smoothed cut copy the original . take only the chunk the is really bad. even in fcp all the original clip will be put through even if you only have 5 sec in the between the in point and out point . save you tons of time .

Even after rendering? I used to think the same thing, but then when I rendered the footage, it looked great again. My only problem, is that with 80% of the shots I apply Smoothcam to, I get an occasional "twitch". Everything will be going along great and then all the sudden the shot will appear to go way out of focus for a couple frames and then it's back. Used to think it was an odd thing, but it's happening on most of my shots that I try this on. I'll try to post some examples of what I mean later this week.
