fcp6 project files exported as xml back to fcp5?

If I have project files that are in fcp6 but I need to work on them in fcp5 can I simply email the project file to someone with fcp6 and they could import it and then export back out as an xml file and email back to me and I could then import it back into my fcp5 to work with?
 
Yes, just make sure you us an XML version that is compatible w/FCP 5 (I think ver 3 is the highest compatible w/FCP 5 but I'm not sure).
