FCP5: Constant dropped frames during Print to Video

I'm currently using Final Cut Pro version 5, and I've been experiencing issues attempting to print to tape.

I've made over a dozen attempts, but I always encounter dropped frames, and then the exporting function stops. I've dumped all of my render files and re-rendered to no avail.

I have tried to free up as much CPU power as possible.

No dice.

I am ready to give up, but I'm wondering if anyone has some possible solutions. Thanks.
 
Export to QuickTime with Make Move Self-Contained Checked. Then play out that file directly. If it still drops frames you need a faster hard drive.
